Boiling the water for at least 1 minute to kill the germs. This is the safest way to sanitize drinking water.
A Precautionary Boil Water Notice,
is Posted if there is a loss of CL2 disinfection (Chlorine), Water Pressure, due to Electrical, Mechanical, or other problem, preventing RWD#12 from
Providing sufficient disinfection and or water pressure.
Sometimes a water line break, or a planned repair, or new Main line are cause to Post a Precautionary Boil Order.
